On books as weapons

This American propaganda poster (yes, we used it too) from World War II focuses on Nazi book burnings. Books, the quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt suggests, live on because the ideas live on even when the print has turned to ashes.

But what happens when our books and other media become digital rather than physical? Will ideas live on when you can no longer hold them in your hand to pass along?
